      marc_syntevo For example, when I perform an interactive rebased the "Squash" command is completely unavailable. The only way I can squash commits together is by changing the messages to be the same, then using autosquash.

    marc_syntevo I assume there's some magic here that might enable it, but it's completely opaque to me as a user and essentially has disabled the ability to interactively squash commits together.
