        @yesiwebto they completely control (and heavily censor) the App store with things they don't like (say: legal but morally controversial content). This control allows them to tax the web (free access) by cutting off their customers as a user base.

      @yesiwebto "Taxes" aren't bad, per se, but Apple's implementation co-mingles the fee for the right to access Apple users with access to information and in that way the "tax" is practically inhumane.

    @yesiwebto Saying the free web is a viable alternative to paying the bridge troll's fee ignores... well... everything. Apple has made sure the web isn't viable on their platform, and therein is the whole problem.
