                                1. Let me tell you the beginning part of a story that WasteManagement gets to decide the end of. In late August, I wrote a letter to WM cancelling my residential curbside trash and recycle pickup service. It read (verbatim):

                        In the months since, WM has been calling, emailing, and invoicing me frequently.

                      Today, I used their website chat service to get a human being to stop this harassment. They informed me that WM doesn't accept cancellations over mail. Okay. I mean that's pure bullshit and we can smell a "Valued Customer Retention" scheme from a million miles away. But okay.

                    So I call the number - 800-482-6406. The person at this number tells me that my service has been cancelled as of November 8th, and my current invoice is the amount between October 1 and November 8th.

                  Now I was under the impression that I couldn't cancel service over mail, so why would WM cancel my service in the middle of a billing cycle? Was it because I hadn't made a payment? Why did they even begin service that quarter, then? WM requires payment in advance.

                So my assumption here is WM got my cancellation notice, decided to not honor it, but then when I also refused to pay for the service I cancelled (naturally, as one does), they decided to go ahead and cancel the account while billing me for what they think they did in the meantime

              Of course they were aggressively invoicing me the whole time, hoping I would pay them for service that I had cancelled, and in fact THEY had already cancelled. I've gotten multiple phone calls and email invoices since November 8th.

            Now remember, I'm on the phone with a Customer "Service" representative at this point, and they say they're going to check the account. And put me on a hold.

          That hold ended abruptly with the phone connection closing with no word from the rep. I smell fraud from top to bottom.

        .WasteManagement Clear my current invoice for service you had prior notice to cancel. Stop contacting me. It's bordering on harassment at this point, and I'm sick of it. Our accounts are balanced for all contracted services. Cease and desist.
