Diragor Also not for nothing, but SAE J1772 was fully standardized in the US in 2001, and California mandated it's use (for some vehicles?) for 2006 model year vehicles (e.g. 2005). Not using it (or submitting improved designs, like Yazaki did) was a market capture choice.
