          meyerweb Thanks for getting into the part about "hey why hasn't $browser implemented $feature yet". I still think there's missed nuance here: Apple isn't even competing on the big, honking features, while STILL being dramatically behind on the smaller stuff (like :focus-visible).

        meyerweb I fully agree that the community can and should contribute when they want something, but I think it's totally fair to hold the richest company in the world to the flame and demand that they provide competitive access to the web.

      meyerweb By the way, my own shade may have fallen a bit on Igalia, or the crowdfunding process in general, but that wasn't my intent. I think all that's great, and I'm aware enough to know how much of the modern web is built by Igalia.

    meyerweb The problem is Apple's intentional hobbling of the web by underfunding their browser and refusing to modernize it's features. :focus-visible would never have been a story if Apple weren't trying to make the web a useless toy against the App Store. That's the problem.
