PickledPokute I agree with ALL of this! I don't like parts of ES today. Sometimes it's slow. Sometimes it's hard to find info. I don't have a problem with Node or EVEN the existence of CommonJS. My complaint - the original, recurring sin - is that these parallel efforts are not laminar.

PickledPokute There is a world where Node and CommonJS' special sauce is layered on top of a system that closely moved with the actual specification. I'm extremely happy that Node now supports the ES module system (although it's cumbersome), but it should have been 7-8 years ago!
