    1. The TS people have been coalescing around the phrase "unforking the ecosystem" or "unforking the language." The reason for this is that it sounds great! Why would we have forked JavaScript!? Terrible of us to have done so! They fail to mention that Typescript is what forked off.

    They talk about this as if it's a natural thing to want: obviously we should bring the fork into the fold (another phrase they share). Of course, there's a reason the main language doesn't work with strict types (it's a dynamic language), but they don't want you to think of that
