I get a lot of recruiter emails and LinkedIn messages and I basically just ignore them all. However, there is a certain class of messages where they: - Mention how much VC $ was in their last funding round - Mention which VC firm backs them - Mention "blockchain" or "Web3"

These recruiter messages get a special treatment: I roll my eyes and ignore them EXTREMELY HARD.

Taking VC money is shorthand for "This is not solving a problem any more. Solving a problem is a side effect of being a financial investment vehicle for a bunch of dumb finance guys." Blockchain and Web3 is shorthand for "We're about to go out of business."

The last 10-15 years made it seem like "VC == good" and that is categorically false. Whether you agree with my premise (VC money turns your business into a leveraged financial vehicle and NOTHING more; you are completely beholden to share price) or not... Carnage4Life/1547019535139500032
