getifyravavyr I understand the context. The only acceptable terms for me are a prompt EVERY time the update is desired. Of course, if a website prompts me asynchronously to update while I'm not actively using it, I'd immediately remove that site from things I used regularly.
getifyravavyr I've never understood how anyone would be okay with a single prompt that - once approved - hands over keys to a system permanently. I block all notification prompts for this reason, too. I'm not going to trust anyone indefinitely, and that's what the initial prompt is asking.
