I'm watching a show that has dealt with pandemics and disease pretty often (Stargates SG-1 & Atlantis) and it feels so quaint. The president shuts down 100% of movement and all borders at 5000 cases. There's a required quarantine when traveling for the incubation period. If only.On twitter.com

Individuals who manage to get out of quarantine are rapidly tracked down and everyone they've had any contact with is quarantined. Finding a reliable test is the absolute first priority for those not doing quarantine/tracing work. They apply that test rigorously and extensively.Permalink On twitter.com

Sci-Fi is supposed to be a vision of what the future could be, and sadly, we COULD have this sci-fi future where dangerous outbreaks are contained and life - mostly - goes back to normal.
