kerrizor The target demo in 1999 (10 - 23 year olds) probably thought it was the deepest (worth noting: I was 10 in 1999). I rewatched it recently and am very happy with how well the movie held up from a cinematic perspective. I got so bored of Lost I think I barely made it to season 3

kerrizor To be fair though, I don't NECESSARILY think a movie has to do anything with the ideas it presents. There's an argument to be made that movies that do are exclusively the good ones, but not that movies that don't are the bad ones. If that makes sense...

kerrizor Maybe my nostalgia and young impressionableness caused me to think the Matrix was one of the movies that did something with it's ideas, and finding out it didn't made me think it was bad. Is a movie required to act on the ideas it has?
