      was always a euphemism for "someone else will tell me exactly what to use, how to do it, and what the rules are." That usually surfaced as "best practices" and "a strong ecosystem." I'm not just being cynical here, /4

    when it came down to it, those things that sound good were actually just "is there a thing that tells me how I'm supposed to build software." The world where creative, open customized software is gone. And with it, the world where Web Components would have flourished. /4
