      @yesiwebto It has real (non-trivial) effects outside their own ecosystem, which is why putting pressure on them is good for the open, free web, not just good for rubes like Musk.

        @yesiwebto Though the same could maybe be said for the lottery, too. The effects of gambling and possibly addiction do have downstream societal effects on everybody, but... that's a bit farther outside my areas of expertise :D
