    The problem is of reach and risk. You SHOULD have these smart advisors telling you that something is a scam when you're not rich, but you can't go on to propagate it to almost 3 million people, and you generally have less to lose.

      As a rich person (who is likely famous) you have a social responsibility to not spread scams, you have a lot more to lose, and you have a public image to maintain. If nothing else, it's not a good look to advertise "I'm an easy mark."
