  1. All I can think when I hear people gush about Disco Elysium is maybe a lot of gamers have never read a book? I can see how sitting through literally millions of words that are telling you a story (and backstory) of a place might seem compelling if a book is a new idea to you.

      It was absolutely the wrong format for a book, but I suppose I can see how you might think it's incredible and ground breaking. It's true that "a book" isn't really a game genre (there's a reason for that), so it is certainly unique.
