    dfabu _atjn I've never seriously written Python, and I got out of PHP in the version right before they added types (I think it was 6?). My experience with Ruby has been that it's a huge disaster from start to finish, but maybe that's because of the typing, I don't know.

      dfabu _atjn Which is all basically to say: I'm not sure if you're being ironic (as in, the optional types added made those languages better), or if you're being serious. But I don't have enough experience in modern incarnations of those languages to have good insight.
