      _atjn I agree with the outcome! I don't think I agree that that's desireable! Part of being an engineer - to me - is understanding a platform and working on solutions in those bounds. I don't think the platform should be required to abstract complexities when they're self-imposed.

    _atjn Admittedly, this comes down to "do I think types should be part of the language." My answer is an emphatic "no", so that informs my overall take here. If someone is "yes," they're going to want it in the platform, because they might see it as "missing," not "additive."
