I have seen full framework lock-in bring down entire products for years across multiple industries enough times to feel like that exclusive use is a fundamental mistake, but I suppose each business has to make their own decisions (and find this out the hard way).

What I think will happen is the frameworks of today will eventually fall out of style - even so far as being an anti-pattern - as teams figure out how much a portable underlying standard can accelerate their effort.

lexLohr DanShappir OrenElbaum filrakowski Rich_Harris solid_js So when I talk about inevitability of Web Components, I'm not expecting the Reacts and Vues to evolve: I'm expecting dramatically faster replacements that solve modern problems on top of the platform component model.
