      1. Now that Heroku is going to implode for non-enterprise users, I'm looking for a back end / API hosting solution: - push code, get app (similar ergonomics), versions - only need API hosting, not that it matters - only need JS/Express What else is out there?

    Willing to pay up to $3.50/mo, since that's the cost of a full root-access VM on various other platforms.

      I've found - render.com - digitalocean.com/products/app-platform Not confident the DO one can run a full-fledged API, though. They seem to really be pushing serverless functions.
