  1. I have - for a long time - intentionally opted out of the automatic scanners and (functionally) opted into the patdown. The agents used to ask me why (I think they have learned over time to not ask that question). Every time, I told them: andyjayhawk/1564991974763073539

      "If we're going to mutually engage in security theater that preys on already marginalized people, we're going to do it 1 on 1 where we can look into each other's eyes and there's actually a chance you might find something." They always looked a bit uncomfortable.
